Social Events: Dale Sebanc announced three social events are planned for the year. The first will take place February 19, at 5 p.m. at The Club at Prescott Lakes mixer. She encouraged members to contact Jeanice Monastesse to make reservations. Additional events are planned for May and September.

Club Championship: Robert Rutty announced the annual Pickleball Club Championship is scheduled for June. It is a three-day event with singles on Friday evening, Men’s/Women’s doubles on Saturday, and Mixed Doubles on Sunday. A suggestion was expressed from the floor by Nancy Miser that the Championship be held later in the year.
2016 Senior Pickleball Games: Robert Rutty described the games are tentatively set for August, with talks still ongoing with The Club at Prescott Lakes. Jim Robak and Joe Nelson are co-chairs. A question from the floor regarding advertising was raised. Jim Robak explained that with a Pickleball Tournaments, LLC listing, the tournaments usually fill long before the actual event.
Budget: Roger Breding explained the details regarding the income and expense slides. A question from the floor regarding fencing along the side and back of court 5 was raised. Robert Rutty responded the matter is in discussion with The Club at Prescott Lakes. Roger Breding was praised for his efforts with the budget.

There is also an Informal group of developing players currently meeting on Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. A formal lesson schedule will begin in April. The Pickleball Club will send an e-mail to members to assess interest in “Drill Days”.
Questions/Comments from the floor:
Joe Rubio suggested an afternoon Open Play on the schedule in addition to the morning Open Play. Larry Davis suggested having safety suggestions on the court similar to those in the weight room. A suggestion was made for instruction to newcomers in the basic rules of the game. Another suggestion was for a “library” of pickleball literature. Sandra Zerner announced she is attending the Huntsman Games in Utah and is looking for ride sharing. Joe Nelson announced the US Open Pickleball Tournament will be held in Florida April 27 – May 1. It will be televised and offers $25,000 in prize money. Bob Sisley from the Major Decisions Committee spoke as an observer and stated he is open to comments and suggestions.
